Released this past Friday on World of Echo (UK record shop + label), THE SHAPIROS' Gone By Fall LP collects the DC band's recordings from September 1994. A handful of tracks originally showed up on 7"s released sporadically through the mid-90s, and then 2001 saw the release of this complete collection to CD on an Australian label run by one of the band members. Speaking of, members previously played in BLACK TAMBOURINE and VERONICA LAKE, and would go on to form HEARTWORMS and BELMONDO. Fun fact: ARCHIE MOORE of Heartworms and LILYS recorded these tracks. Great spin for fans of mid-90s lo-fi indie pop and C86-style underground.
