You should come out to this! We were lucky enough to catch Jerry at a Durham house show years back with - fittingly - MC Taylor (Hiss Golden Messenger) and Adam Remnant (Southeast Engine) in a round robin setting and they've actually all been favorite songwriters of the shop since. Swing on out! You've got the afternoon free. ;)
MORE DETAILS FROM THE ARTISTS & LABELS:
Jerry David DeCicca's new album, Burning Daylight, is being released on Sept. 28, 2018, his second of the year. His previous album, Time the Teacher, was named Americana Album of the Month (March, 2018) by Uncut magazine and called "a remarkable feat of empathy" by The Fader. DeCicca's albums have been featured in Aquarium Drunkard, Magnet, Mojo and Brooklyn Vegan and included collaborators like Will Oldham, Kelley Deal, and Spooner Oldham. He is also the producer of albums by Larry Jon Wilson (Drag City), Will Beeley (Tompkins Square), Ed Askew (Tin Angel) and reissues for the Numero Group. His previous band, The Black Swans, recorded 5 albums, toured for over 10 years, and was recognized in Pitchfork, Tiny Mix Tapes, American Songwriter, and many more
"DeCicca is a careful, precise songwriter, but the songs don't necessarily sound written. Instead, they seem like they occurred to him naturally and ineluctably. " -- Pitchfork
A veteran band leader of the last twenty years, and a songwriter of considerable output, Adam Ostrar (formerly Adam Busch) now presents his second solo record “Brawls In The Briar”, after a career spent at the helm of art rock ensembles The Curious Digit (Jagjaguwar), Manishevitz (Jagjaguwar) and SONOI (Meno Mosso).
