New EDITRIX LP!

Heavy spinner this week. Their previous was such a hit around the shop that we flooded some mailboxes with it for the June 2022 edition of our Album of the Month Club. Sometimes a little guitar noise is cathartic for the soul. The Easthampton, MA band's latest sees them shifting from Exploding in Sound Records to Joyful Noise Records and toning down their noise just touch. The Big E maintains their explosiveness and blow-out mathiness, with the chaotic guitar we need, but I hear a little more careening into ethereal prog zones as well. I'd still file it in the noise rock department, but there's more depth happening here. Worth your time if you like art rock, noise, and post-punk that can carry a tune.
