For a good chunk of this week, I've been listening to DANNY ARAKAKI's solo debut LP on Ryley Walker's Husky Pants Records. It's a great breezy spin occupying a similar space to the guitar-oriented psychedelic rock for which his main GARCIA PEOPLES gig is known. On Tumble in Shade though, Arakaki turns up the twang a little more, sending the vibe a little further out into fuzzy cosmic country. Haze and twang, what more do you need some days?
