Who needs fancy 20yr Anniversary reissues when you can still buy the original press from the distributor??
There's a rule that exists in the shop (and every shop I've worked at) that will only allow us to listen to records we have for sale. It's a real drag if you don't like what you stock, I suppose. Even I can't break this cardinal rule, out of fear of the earth opening and swallowing me up or something equally sinister and likely.
The other day though I got a real bad hankering to revisit THE TIME FLYS, a sleazy, raunchy proto-punk influenced Birdman Records band from the early aughts. Oakland, CA. To my surprise one of my distributors still had copies in stock!! I ordered away, forgot I had ordered them, and then they showed up! So, I'm currently listening to a Fave of 2005 on repeat in the shop and you can't make me stop. I got in a few more nostalgic spins, so maybe we'll detail those later. Recommended for folks who dig noisy power pop-leaning rawk'n'roll!
